Hugo and Blowfish Update - HP1Docker#

Update#

• Host: HP1Docker (10.1.2.202)
• Hugo: v0.162.1 extended → v0.166.0 extended
• Blowfish: updated to v3.8.0 on all five sites that use it
• Hugo binary: /usr/local/bin/hugo
• Previous binary backup: /usr/local/bin/hugo.before-0.166.0
• Deployment: no website publish was run
• Git: no commits or pushes were made

Hugo v0.166.0 was downloaded from the official release and verified against its published SHA-256 checksum (0e39b901e3f919f1daae05c8ff64f0c14c8a348ef46886d63f8e6d1bb2653885). Blowfish v3.8.0 declares Hugo v0.166.0 as its supported version.

Sites#

All seven builds ran from temporary source copies and wrote output under /tmp/gpsdash-software-upgrade-20260926/verification/. The served public/ directories were not used as build destinations.

Preserved local work#

• Canada2Argentina’s 90 pre-existing Blowfish file-mode edits were restored after the theme update.
• GenDash’s modified publish log remains untouched.
• Peru’s existing content edits and three untracked photos remain untouched.
• GPSDash and Inuvik keep their existing vendored-theme layout; Inuvik’s .git pointer file was retained.

Build warnings#

All seven sites built successfully. Hugo reported remaining deprecation warnings in Canada2Argentina, Inuvik, Peru, Homelab, and the GenDash backup. These include language configuration/API names that should be migrated in future work. Homelab also reported raw HTML omitted from three Markdown pages. No build errors were reported.
