GPSDash Hugo Scaffold#

Current state#

• Theme: Blowfish v3.8.0 (vendored copy)

The GPSDash Hugo scaffold was created on 2026-09-26 from the reusable GenDash site structure. The configuration title, base URL, and custom CSS namespace were adapted from GenDash to GPSDash.

Custom GenDash layouts and the Blowfish theme were copied without modification when the scaffold was created. The Hugo configuration and custom CSS were renamed for GPSDash. Blowfish was updated from v2.103.0 to v3.8.0 on 2026-09-26.

Intentional exclusions#

• No GenDash Markdown content was copied.
• No GenDash icons, screenshots, favicons, or other branding assets were copied.
• No GenDash build logs or existing generated site were copied.
• No Git metadata or GenDash Git remote was copied.
• The Blowfish theme remains a vendored copy without its own Git metadata.

The future GPSDash synchronization script will populate the language content and image directories from /Users/marc/Obsidian/GPSDash.

Validation#

The initial scaffold build completed with Hugo v0.162.1 and Blowfish v2.103.0. On 2026-09-26, the server Hugo runtime was updated to v0.166.0 extended and Blowfish to v3.8.0. The updated GPSDash site built successfully as part of the seven-site validation; output was written to a temporary directory. See Hugo and Blowfish Update - HP1Docker.

Next steps#

• Create the GPSDash Mac synchronization script.
• Create the GPSDash remote Hugo publish script.
• Synchronize the local EN, FR, and ES content and images.
• Add the final GPSDash icon and favicon set.
• Decide whether the Hugo project receives its own Git repository and remote.
• Configure the Cloudflare Pages project and gpsdash.app domain.
• Run a content, privacy, link, language, and mobile-layout review before publication.
